Description: Sage is a perennial evergreen with woody stems, grayish leaves and blue to purplish flowers. It is native to the northern Mediterranean region, particularly the coastal Dalmatia region of Croatia

Herbed Rice
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 cup celery, diced
3/4 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup butter
2 1/2 cups water
1 package dry chicken noodle soup mix
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Thyme
1/4 teaspoon Spice Barn Rubbed Sage
1/4 teaspoon Spice Barn Ground Black Pepper
1 tablespoon pimento, chopped

Sauté rice, celery, and onion in butter.  Stir in remaining ingredients, except pimento.  Bring to a boil; reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.  Stir in pimento.  Remove from heat and let stand covered for 10 minutes.

Turkey Breakfast Sausage
1 pound ground turkey
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Rubbed Sage
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Thyme
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Ground Nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon Spice Barn Ground Cayenne Pepper

Combine all ingredients; shape into patties.  In skillet, cook patties in 2 teaspoons vegetable oil on medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side.
