Celery Seed Recipes   

Sour Cream Potatoes
8 baking potatoes (about 5 ounces each)
8 ounces sour cream
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons Spice Barn Parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Spice Barn Celery Seeds

Cook potatoes and cut into cubes.  Mix remaining ingredients and stir in potatoes.  Place in buttered baking dish and bake at 350 degrees 30-40 minutes, until bubbly and done.  Garnish with paprika and parsley.

Celery Seed Salad Dressing
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons Spice Barn Ground Mustard
1 cup vinegar
2 cups salad oil
1 1/2 tablespoons Spice Barn Celery Seeds

Combine sugar, salt, mustard, and half of the vinegar in a bowl.  Add oil in a fine stream which beating constantly.  Add remaining vinegar gradually, beating constantly.  Add celery seed; beat until thick.  Store in refrigerator.

Horseradish Sour Cream Slaw
1 1/4 cups sour cream
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Celery Seeds
1 small Savoy cabbage, shredded
1 small red cabbage, shredded

Stir together first 7 ingredients in a large bowl.  Add cabbage and toss well.  Chill.

Celery Seed Bread Sticks
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon Spice Barn Celery Seeds
1/4 teaspoon Spice Barn Paprika
1/4 teaspoon Spice Barn Parsley
6 slices French or Italian Bread

Combine butter with herbs.  Spread 1 tablespoon of butter mix onto each slice of bread.  Slice bread into 1 1/2 inch sticks.  Broil until brown.

Honey-Celery Seed Dressing
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Spice Barn Celery Seeds
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated onion
1 cup oil

Mix dry ingredients; blend in honey, vinegar, lemon juice, and onion.  Add oil in slow stream, beating constantly with electric mixer, until thick.

Russian Dressing
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 1/2 teaspoons Spice Barn Celery Seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup oil
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup grated onion

Cook sugar and water until mixture spins a thread (232 degrees).  Cool.  Mix remaining ingredients; beat in syrup.
